Where it all started!

At the beginning of November 2012 I gave in my first payment of £250 and I instantly thought, right how am I going to raise £3795 in about 18 months. My parents were worried about the financial problem but they encouraged me to go for it as it will look incredible on my CV, which is one of the main reasons I took this opportunity. Also it'll be an amazing experience, it'll encourage me to get fit, try new foods and become a lot more independent.

I am going to Zambia and Malawi in July 2014. I'll be there for 28 days and there are 13 pupils from my school coming. Only 1 other person (one of my best friend's Lauren) is in my year and the rest are in the year below me. On the expedition we will be trekking, learning about the local wildlife and culture, working with the local community and one week will be spent relaxing and resting. This is defiantly NOT  holiday.

I started this journey with no job, worried about getting along with the others, raising the money and living in Africa for a month! However I believe in myself and I know I can get there!
